Chemical peels help remove layers of the skin, most peels have either AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) or BHA (beta hydroxy acids), or a combination of both. AHA's help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reducing pigmentation. BHA's help refine and clear pores and treat breakouts. While skin peels work well for most skin types, if you have hypersensitive skin or an inflammatory skin condition, please proceed with caution. Below is a list of our favorite peel systems!
Apply your at-home daily peel after cleaning, and before your serum, and moisturizer. These at-home peels can still help fresher and give you plumper skin from underneath. At-home treatments do take more time, and offer less dramatic results then in-office treatments, but they require no downtime!
Vita-C Micro Peel
Softens the texture and appearance of rough and sun-damaged skin while vitamin C helps to promote the look of a more youthful and radiant appearance.
Lactic Acid Gel
Helps to refine the appearance of skin texture, leaves the skin looking smoother, and helps to improve the appearance of problematic skin.
Minimizes the appearance of pores and uneven skin texture, reduces hyper-pigmentation, and stimulates new collagen production to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
You may experience mild flaking after 2-3 days, make sure to use a gentle cleanser and extra moisturizer for the next week. Be sure to wait to exfoliate until your flaking has stopped. As always, but most importantly after a peel, be sure to wear sunscreen. Enjoy your newly revealed, brighter, healthier skin!
