THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRAXEL RE:PAIR & FRAXEL DUAL

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRAXEL RE:PAIR & FRAXEL DUAL

Fraxel is one of the most renowned laser technologies to achieve smoother skin and reduce the signs of aging with a non-invasive approach. Looking to book a laser appointment for this Fall but not sure which one to choose? Both Fraxel DUAL and Fraxel Re:pair help regenerate the skin, but each has unique benefits and differences.

WHAT IS FRAXEL DUAL?

Fraxel DUAL is a non-ablative laser, meaning it is not as aggressive and requires less downtime. Fraxel DUAL improves conditions such as wrinkles around the eyes, surgical scars, age spots, brown spots, pigmented lesions, and pre-cancerous lesions. It is also effective in enhancing the tone and texture of the skin.

With Fraxel DUAL you can expect redness, slight swelling, and sloughing of the skin for up to 5-7 days. You will want to be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 50 or higher, avoid direct sunlight, and make sure to do a continuation of skincare. This is a great annual maintenance treatment.

BEFORE & AFTERS

WHAT IS FRAXEL RE:PAIR?

Fraxel Re:Pair, also known as CO2 laser, is an ablative laser, meaning it requires more downtime because it removes the epidermal and superficial dermal layers of the skin. This laser removes years of damaged skin cells and stimulates the production of healthy skin cells and collagen, resulting in firmer and smoother skin.

This procedure is great for anyone who has moderate to severe scarring, sun damage, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, or is looking for an overall skin rejuvenation. This procedure also helps with deeper wrinkles, fine lines, smoker lip lines, crepey under-eye skin & more.

With Fraxel Re:Pair, you can expect redness, swelling, itchiness, oozing, crusting, and sloughing of the skin for 10-14 days. Your skin will be very sensitive during this time. Once the skin has healed, you will want to be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 50 or higher, avoid direct sunlight, and make sure to do a continuation of skincare. There is no annual maintenance associated with this treatment.
